MANILA, Philippines – About 150 farmers staged a rally in front of the building owned by the family of First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo in Makati City.

Members of Task Force Mapalad gathered at the Lourdes T. Arroyo Building and reiterated their call to the First Gentleman to fulfill his promise to distribute the 157-hectare Hacienda Bacan in the village of Guintubhan in Isabela; 60-hectare Hacienda Paraiso in Huguimit in La Carlota City; and the 196-hectare Hacienda Grande in Robles, La Castellana.

MANILA, Philippines – University of the Philippines Diliman topped the 10th Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) Inter Collegiate Finance Competition (ICFC), besting 24 university finalists from the country and abroad.

UP Diliman took the top spot from last year’s champ Ateneo de Manila University which ranked second this year, followed by De La Salle University-Manila with scores 820 and 800, respectively.
