5 more overseas vote enlistment schedules

MANILA, Philippines—To augment the registration initiatives for Filipinos overseas, the Commission on Elections and the Department of Foreign Affairs are holding mobile and field registration to accommodate more registrants for overseas absentee voting, some of which are funded by Filipino community organizations.

The following are the latest approved special registration schedules:

* Until August 31 in Taiwan, particularly in Taipei, Kaoshiung, and Taichung, to accommodate 15,000 registrants;

* Until August 31 in Taiwan, particularly in Hsinchu, Taoyuan, sinjuang, and Hualien, to accommodate 1,100;

* Until August 31 in Brunei, particularly in Brunei Muara, Kuala Belait (Seia), Jerudong, and Tutong, to accommodate almost 2,000;

* From August 21 to 23, in Nigeria, particularly in Ghana and Togo, to accommodate 300; and

* Until August 31, in Saudi Arabia, particularly in the area of the International Philippine School in Al Khobar.
