Local BPO can grow to $100-B industry—execs

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines business process outsourcing industry (BPO) can raise revenues of up to $100 billion by 2020 by properly developing the talent pool and increasing the value chain of services, Indian outsourcing officials said on Monday.

Doctor Ganesh Natarajan India’s Zensar, Technologies vice chairman and chief executive, said the Philippines has a lot of potential to get a bigger slice of the BPO market, which was expected to grow at $1.5 trillion in the next 10 years – if the country would continue to “match its BPO personnel skills to industry demands.” Read the rest of this entry »

No disruptions in RP outsourcing – BPAP

MANILA, Philippines – Outsourcing companies continue to operate over the weekend despite heavy rains and floods of caused by Typhoon ‘Ondoy,’ according to a top official of the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP).

Aegis PeopleSupport eyes $1B sales growth

MANILA, Philippines—Essar-Group company Aegis PeopleSupport eyes to grow its revenues to $1 billion from $500 million and increase its local business process outsourcing (BPO) staff to 20,000 over the next three years, officials said Wednesday.

Essar director Anshuman Ruia said the group plans to “aggressively expand in the Philippines” to serve global clients, which are looking into outsourcing services to cut on costs with the current financial meltdown.
