MANILA, Philippines—The Commission on Elections (Comelec) Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) has answered about 70 percent of the bid queries on the P11.2 billion poll automation project, an official said on Monday.

Comelec guidelines of Advisory Council

MANILA,Philippines—The Commission on Elections (Comelec) Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) has decided to adopt bidding guidelines proposed by the Comelec Advisory Council (CAC), an official said.

“The SBAC decided to adopt in toto the guidelines for the procurement process promulgated in the CAC Resolution released in February. The recommendations are good and will promote transparency of the procurement process,” SBAC chairman Ferdinand Rafanan told bidders during the pre-bid conference Friday.

10 groups join pre-poll automation bid

MANILA, Philippines—Ten bidders joined the pre-bid conference of the P11.3 billion automation project of the Commission on Elections scheduled Friday at its main office in Intramuros, Manila.

All 10 bidders, mostly foreign companies, have all secured the terms of reference and request for proposal from the poll body.
