MANILA, Philippines – The consortium that won the bidding for the 2010 election automation project said its track record would show that its machines were tamper proof, as it allayed fears of election fraud.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) bid committee awarded the contract to Netherlands-based Smartmatic and its Philippine partner, Total Information Management (TIM), with its P7.2-billion proposal. Read the rest of this entry »
