MANILA, Philippines—The Commission on Elections (Comelec) Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) has answered about 70 percent of the bid queries on the P11.2 billion poll automation project, an official said on Monday.

10 firms secure poll automation bid documents

MANILA, Philippines—Ten groups have secured bid documents for the P11.3 billion poll automation project of the Commission on Elections (Comelec), an official said Wednesday.

Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez told INQUIRER.net that 10 groups have secured the terms of reference and request for proposal (TOR/RFP) from the Comelec Special Bids and Awards Committee (SBAC) from March 18 to 25.

Comelec sees more firms buying bid documents

MANILA, Philippines—More firms are expected to purchase bid documents for the P11.3-billion automated election project in 2010, a spokesperson from the poll body said Monday.

Commission on Elections spokesperson James Jimenez said Hart and ES/S from the United States, DRS of the United Kingdom, Bharat of India and Gilat Solutions of Israel are also expected to secure the bid documents, as the March 25 deadline nears for bidders.

MANILA, Philippines – The terms of reference and request for proposal (TOR/RFP) for the procurement of more than 80,000 counting machines will be available for purchase from March 18 to 25, Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman Jose Melo said Monday.

Melo said bidders could get a copy of the TOR/RFP from the Bids and Awards Committee Secretariat for a non-refundable amount of P1 million.
